This holiday season, it’s not just about shopping and scoring the best deals of the year – it’s also about giving back to the community and helping those in need. Here at Donald Pliner we’re proud to announce our participation in #GivingTuesday. Our mission this season is to help restore the beloved communities we’ve been lucky to call home through the years.
#GivingTuesday was created in 2012 by the team at the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact at the 92nd Street Y in New York City in partnership with the United Nations Foundation to bring communities and organizations across the globe together to encourage giving back.
Utilizing the power of social media and the generosity of those around the world, #GivingTuesday provides a platform to donate time, resources and talents to address real change during the holiday season. After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is a great reminder to focus on others.
Since 1989, Donald Pliner has built strong relationships within our local cities and customers across the country. This year natural disasters hit home with Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey affecting our local customers in Houston, Miami and Orlando.
This holiday season, we are joining the #GivingTuesday movement by donating a percentage of sales on this important day to help our friends and family in need. As you shop, use code GIVING17 to receive your shoes and a percentage of sales will go to hurricane relief to aid those who have been affected by these natural disasters.
So as you build your shoe closet, we are hoping to rebuild the communities Donald Pliner calls home.
